1867 Hic iacet corpus prudentissimi ac bone memorie viri Niccolaj Geri de Soderinis, qui Luce obijt Anno D. MCCCLXXXI die XXI mensis Martij. Cuius Anima requiescat in pace. Here lies the body of the most prudent and of good memory man Niccolò di Geri Soderini who died at Lucca in the year of our Lord 1381 on the 21st day of the month of March, whose soul rests in peace.
