To the best and greatest God
An epitaph of Nicola son of Niccolò Carosi from the most noble Bonaguisi family. The Greek Nymphs and each of the Pieredes who dead lived again with Niccolò, die for the second time. But he living dead blessed higher than the axis of the high north star. If anything escaped him up to this point, he reads in God he died in the year of his age 73 in the year of salvation 1463 the day before the nones of February. Francesco son of Matteo Carosi of the Friars Major undertook to have this placed for the well deserving Niccolo. |
