Notes

  • [a] This altar stood third against the left wall when facing the high altar, identified by Rosselli as the "banda della strada" (street side), which corresponded to liturgical north in the lost church of San Frediano. Rosselli said it was past the altar of St. Lawrence in the direction of the main church door in the lower part of the church.
  • [b] Vincenzio Sbarri left a bequest drawn up by S. Simone Benini to fund the chapel on behalf of the Confraternity of S. Friano (aka della Bruciata).
  • [c] The Chapel of the Annunciation was to the left of the church's side door, which was to the left of the Chapel of St. Lawrence.
