  • [b] Even though the tomb's inscription names Marcello as responsible for setting up the family tomb, it also mentions his date of death, suggesting that it was his son Giovanni Battista, who commissioned the extra portrait to install in the wall over the tomb, was also responsible for executing his father's wish to install a tomb slab in the church of San Francesco al Monte.
