Notes

  • [a] According to the Soprintendenza, the altarpiece has been displayed in various places. The painting, showing the Coronation of the Virgin with saints, was described by Rosselli as at the head of the right aisle, but today adorns the altar at the head of the left aisle.
  • [b] The altarpiece was made between 1450 and 1460 by Neri di Bicci. The Soprintendenza suggests that it was initially made for the first church of the Jerusalem nuns at San Giovannino della Calza and was brought to their new church in via San Gallo in 1553.
