Notes

  • [a] Matteo's tomb carries the date 1619. Daniela Lamberini reports that he endowed the altar above it in his testament of 23 March 1622.
  • [b] Rosselli believed that the Rossi da Pogna altar, mentioned in the 1610 sepoltuario by Francesco della Foresta, was dismantled to make room for the new Neroni altar, whose tomb's inscription indicates it had been installed in 1619. The Rossi arms were moved to a place on the wall to the left of the Neroni altar and before the following Baldocci altar as a reminder of the former patrons.
