Notes

  • [a] In 1743, Gaetano d'Amerigo Antinori installed the marker from a the tomb of his ancestor Piero di Vanni above a dedicatory plaque that unfortunately does not indicate its original location. Oddly, the fourteenth-century monument is not mentioned by Rosselli, and it may have been in another church prior to its placement in the San Jacopo portico.
