Notes

  • [a] The altarpiece was painted between 1478 and 1485 for the Jesuates' first church of San Giusto fuori la MuraSan Giusto alle Mura, destroyed in the siege of Florence. They installed it over a secondary altar in their new church of S. Giovannino (S. Giusto) della Calza in 1530.
  • [b] After the suppression of the Jesuates, the altarpiece remained in the church until its removal to the Uffizi in 1857.
