Two families using the surname Bonizzi appear in the Ceramelli Papiani archive. None of the tombs attributed to this name include descriptions of coats of arms in the sepoltuari, making it difficult to know which of the two, if either, correspond to the tomb owners of monuments in Santa Croce or Santa Reparata. Readers should also take caution that all of the various sons of Bonizzo belong to this group. Giuseppe Rosi indexed the all together as a series of family trees under the heading Bonizzi, but some may in fact be from separate families who did not use this patronymic as a surname.
CP 860: Di rosso, alla banda di losanghe accollate d'oro.
CP 861: D'argento, a sei palle di nero, 3.2.1.
