The Bacherelli had a father and son in the early priorate, serving from the sesto of S. Pier Scheraggio, but seem to disappear from the record after 1300. The Bacherelli included in the lists of Carlo Strozzi and John Padgett may refer to another group of the same name with a different coat of arms (Ceramelli Papiani 259). The Ceramelli Papiani archive puts this group in the Scala district of the Santo Spirito quarter in contrast to the Priorista Mariani. The only mention of a family related to this name in Rosselli's sepoltuario seems to be a tomb honoring one Daniello di Benezino di Bacherello, which did not carry any arms, thus making it difficult to ascertain whether he was related to either of these groups.
