The Badia's Libro dei defunti notes that the ten-year-old daughter of Smeraldo bottaio was buried in one of their communal tombs on July 14th, 1506. This unnamed girl is surely the "Marietta et Fiametta di Smeraldo di Bartolo bottaio" of the parish of Sant'Apollinare who was born on May 9th, 1496 at the 7th hour (around 4 a.m.) and baptized later that day. Whether the family was still living in the parish of Sant'Apollinare, across the street from the Badia, or had moved to the Badia's own parish of S. Stefano is not known.
