[a] Totta gives her surname as Bellancini, an otherwise unknown family. Given that Piero's mother Gemma di Tano was most likely the daughter of Tano Bellaccini (not Bellancini) it seems that Ermellina must have been her kinswoman and that both came from the Bellaccini family.
