Filippi, Filippo di Ulivo di Filippo

Description

Filippo d'Ulivo Filippi was likely the Filippo d'Ulivo orafo, who gave his age as 16 in the 1427 catasto declaration he filed on behalf of his brothers Michele and Maso, then aged 13 and 10, from a house they owned in the parish of Santa Felicità close to the river. This teenager was likely the same Filippo d'Ulivo di Filippo who was elected guild consul of the innkeepers on December 21st, 1473.

A sepoltuario kept by the friars at Santo Spirito noted a tomb that belonged to Filippo d'Ulivo Filippi, but its inscription was illegible by the time Stefano Rosselli compiled his manuscript. The coat of arms had also been worn away, but Rosselli believed it showed a rampant dog.
