The only known reference to Tegghia di Galbo (or Gallo) comes from Stefano Rosselli's sepoltuario. He notes that the tomb of ser Alessandro di M. Ugolino da Castagnolo had passed to him, and that Tegghia in turn sold it to Berto d'Agnolo Telleri in September 1416. According to the Catalogo generale dei Beni Culturali, Tegghia was a member of the da Castagnolo family and was possibly the brother, rather than the son, of Gallo. Rosselli clearly indicates that he was the son.
