Bartolommeo di Vanni degli Albizzi died during the 1363 plague. He had three daughters, Chiara, Filippa, and Niccolosa, and thus was the last in his family line, which explains why his father's tomb passed to the descendants of his second cousin Banco di Ricco di Compagno degli Albizzi.
