Also known as Niccolò di Pietro fa le finestre, this German glassmaker was the son of sculptor Piero di Giovanni Tedesco (act. 1386-1402) and father of the stained glass maker Piero di Niccolò. He is documented at work on the stained glass programs at Orsanmichele and Florence Cathedral, and he is assumed to have been active on the windows at Santa Croce, where he installed a tomb in the cemetery on the north side of the church.
