[a] In 1356, Ser Paolo was drawn for the notary of the Signoria from a Santa Maria Novella purse dated 1351. Twenty-seven years later his son was buried at Santa Maria Novella from the parish of S. Michele in Bertelde, suggesting that the parish was his father's home as well.
