Notes

[a] Antonio gave his age as 28 in his 1427 catasto declaration, rendering a birth year of about 1399, but registered his birth date with tratte officials in 1429 as December 29th, 1394. Luigi Passerini provided a birth year of 1393, suggesting that he was indeed born in 1394. This earlier birth year is confirmed by Antonio's 1457 catasto where he gave his age as 63. The 1469 catasto filed by his grandson Giovanni indicated he had died at age 74 and 7 months, further confirming 1394 as his year of birth.
[b] Antonio's will was drawn up by the notary ser Anastasio Vespucci in the house of the prior of San Paolo on 2 February 1463.
[c] The catasto declaration of Antonio's family recorded that he died in 1469 at the age of 74 years and 7 months.
