[a] As reported in the family ricordi of Valentino Mannucci, no family name is known for Giovanni Maria, known as "Il Sensale," and he never married nor had children. Because of his strong friendship with Jacopo di Lorenzo Marrucci, he made him his heir to the tomb and chapel in Ognissanti in his last will drawn up on 11 July 1567.
