  • [a] The transcription certainly errs in suggesting that Girolamo and Giovanni were brothers and sons of Antonio, for Antonio's sons were Paolo, Giovanni, and Piero. Paolo also had a son named Antonio, and it is possible that he and his son were co-patrons. But, it may be that in both cases the "e" should have been transcribed as "di" leaving uncle Paolo and nephews Giorlamo and his brothers as the patrons of the family altar.
