  • [a] The Santa Croce sepoltuario of 1439 makes clear that Buono was the son of Ardingo, but the only evidence we have that he also belonged to the Ardinghi family is that Stefano Rosselli indexed his tomb under that family name, a habit that does not always indicate a true familial tie.
