  • [a] Though he represented the Scala district in the Tre Maggiori, he may have been buried in his father's tomb at Santa Croce. The rights of burial passed through Giovanni to his grandsons Sassolino and Marignano in the early fifteenth century.
  • [b] Given that rights to the tomb of Arrigo di Sassolo Sassolini passed through Arrigo di Giovanni to his sons, it seems highly likely that he was buried there as well.
