Notes

  • [a] In his copy of Rosselli's sepoltuario now kept at the Biblioteca Moreniana, Giovanni dal Poggio Baldovinetti identified the Cino di Bartolino in the Santa Croce cemetery as a member of the Benvenuti-Nobili family. However, Cino di Bartolino di Chiaro Benvenuti had a wall tomb in Santa Maria sopra Porta that carried his full name and the date 1348. Even though the Benvenuti (later known as the Nobili) had monuments in the church of Santa Croce, the lack of avonym and surname in the cemetery tomb, elements present in the family's church tomb, suggests that the former belonged to another man whose family is unknown. Additionally, the 1596 copy and Stefano Rosselli transcribed his father's name as Barcolino rather than Bartolino.
