Notes

  • [a] Rimbertini's tomb was taken down as part of the Vasarian renovations to Santa Maria Novella.
  • [b] According to Alessandro Diana (2012, pp. 161–2), Rimbertini's lost tomb had a similar format to that of the Patriarch of Constantinople, which was moved in the 1570s from the right aisle to the right transept. Sermartelli reports that Rimbertini's tomb was not spared but dismantled to make room for the Ricasoli family altar, and that the bishop's bones were placed in the tomb of the friars.
