Notes

  • [a] The tomb may have been set aside for the del Beccuto family as early as 1340, when the wife of Castello di Lippo del Beccuto was buried at Santa Maria Novella. By Sermartelli's day it only carried a marker with the family coat of arms and an inscription dated 1355.
  • [b] Lapa is listed in the Santa Maria Novella necrology as from the parish of S. Maria Maggiore. Presumably she was buried in the del Beccuto family tomb.
