  • [a] The tomb is dedicated to the descendants of Belcaro, but it is his name that appears in the inscription.
  • [b] Given that his sister was buried at the Badia in the family tomb in 1509, it seems likely that Jacopo was buried here as well, though he could have opted for burial at Santa Croce, a fact that could be clarified by Grascia records.
  • [c] The Badia's Libro dei defunti records that "la sorella di Jacopo Belcari" was buried in the Badia, but whether this was suor Ursula is not clear.
