[a] Of the square marble tomb slab formerly at the foot of the pier that holds Santa Croce's pulpit and separates the Rosselli records an impaled coat of arms with those of the Vasari on the left and the Taccini on the right, but only fragments of the inscription survive. According to Chelli, these were rearranged into their current configuration a little after 1904.
[b] Though it no longer survives, an impaled coat of arms showing the Vasari family on the left of the shield, the Taccini on the right, is documented by Rosselli.
