Notes

  • [a] A tree in the Carte Mariani Dei suggests that Jacopo died in the first few months of 1348 given that the notation is written "1347/8". We can assume that Jacopo installed the tomb himself since it carries no date.
  • [b] The San Firenze tomb has been dedicated by Bartolommeo's father for himself and his sons. However, he did live for a time in the parish of San Paolo. Gravedigger records could clarify his place and date of death and burial.
  • [c] The tomb for Jacopo di Ventura Venturi, who died in 1348, was still extant when a Venturi family tree was drawn up that describes it in 1737.
