Notes

[a] The altar carried the arms of the Gaetani and Minerbetti families. Giovanni Gaetani married Alessandra Minerbetti in the later fifteenth century.
[b] Rosselli said that the Minerbetti arms were one of two on the base of the altarpiece, which showed St. Jerome and which he believed was not originally over this altar.
