Here lies the prince and glory of harmonious song, to whom great Hesperia gave the place as her duke, Bernardino Franciosino; excelling with sweet-sounding blowing, he was deemed first among men in the world on the reed pipes; extinguished, he merited the honors he bore when alive, he rests first among men in this sacred temple.

It is not made clear whether this was relief sculpture or inlay, but the ensemble included "flutes, trombones, cornets, and other wind instruments" (flauti, tromboni, cornette, et altri instrumenti di fiato" along with a long inscription.
