  • [a] Ghirlandaio's altarpiece was originally over the high altar of S. Giusto alle mura. The Jesuates brought it their new church and installed it over the high altar in 1530. The painting is now in the Uffizi.
  • [b] After the suppression of the Jesuates, the altarpiece remained in the church until its removal to the Uffizi in 1857.
