Notes

  • [a] Stefano Rosselli noted that the inscription went around the slab (vi erono attorno lettere), but that they were too abraded to read. Whether the letters were clockwise around the chiusino or along the edges of the slab is not made clear.
  • [b] Stefano Rosselli was unsure whether the arms on this tomb belonged to the Amadori family, but he noted their chapel in S. Lucia de'Magnoli, not too far down the hill from S. Miniato al Monte.
