Notes

  • [a] Though the tomb's inscription provided no patronym, this tomb most likely belonged to Ubertino di Niccolò, whose descendant Piero di Daniello Strozzi was the last in his line to hold patronage rights to the church.
  • [b] Though his father died in 1527, Piero reached the age of maturity only in 1536.
  • [c] Patronage rights to the parish church inherited through Gabbriello di Soldo Strozzi passed to the Guiducci da Spicchio family in 1574, suggesting that he was most likely heir to the tomb as well. It was still dedicated to the Strozzi in the 1650s when Stefano Rosselli described it in his sepoltuario.
