Notes

  • [a] A notation that only appears in the 1439 sepoltuario notes that the heirs of Baldino di Dietaiuto cassettaio conceded rights to their crypt tomb to Biordo da Prato, presumbably Biordo di ser Matteo da Prato, who was born around 1341. He then allowed mona Lena, the widow of Salvestro di Salvestro Belfradelli to place her husband's coat of arms on the tomb. The relationship between Biordo and Lena remains unclear, and it is also puzzling why she wanted to put the Belfredelli arms on a tomb belonging to Biordo da Prato. One wonders whether Biordo was Lena's father or brother and if she had moved to his home after becoming a widow in the early part of 1404.
