  • [a] According to Placido Puccinelli, Benedetto da Rovezzano (1474 – c. 1552) built the small chapel dedicated to San Benedetto overlooking the Badia's cemetery, likely at the same time he was working on the new east door, atrium, and renovation of the Cappella di San Stefano for the Pandolfini family. It was later conceded to the Bonsi Succhielli family, who installed a tomb inside that carries the date 1569.
