  • [a] In 1349, count Tano degli Alberti di Mangona appointed Bonaiuto di Giannozzo as the church rector, which was then confirmed by don Forese de'Medici, parish priest of San Gavino Adimari.
  • [b] A new bell for the church was cast in 1374.
  • [c] An architrave in the rectory carries the date 1615, at which time it was under the patronage of the Medici Grand Duke Ferdinando II de'Medici.
  • [d] In 1986, the church was renamed Santi Michele e Gavino a Montecarelli.
