The arms of this family as drawn in the eighteenth-century Manoscritti, 471, "Armi di Firenze, Città , terre e Castelli, e Famiglie fiorentine" kept at the Archivio di Stato di Firenze and illustrated in the Ceramelli Papiani online database (no. 7835) show three round-headed maces with smooth shafts. Stefano Rosselli, however, included a protrusion, likely a hand-hold, midway along each shaft. There were two tombs in the cloister of San Jacopo sopr'Arno with these arms, but Rosselli did not link them with the same group. Unfortunately no color notes were provided to discern whether they in fact represent the same lineage or two different ones.
Rinuccio di Benintendi was compensated for property damaged by the Ghibellines as assessed in the <>Liber extimationum of 1269. His "Palatium in d. pop. [S. Iacobi Ultrarno] desctructum" was co-owned with two other families and neighbored houses owned by the Marsili family. Both groups had tombs in their parish church of S. Jacopo sopr'Arno.
