Notes

  • [a] Stefano Rosselli records two families and two coats of arms at the Carmine cloister tomb that the convent recorded as belonging to the Guidotti alone. Rosselli's copyist seems to have ordered the diverse arms according to the order of names on the tomb's inscription while the original would indicate that the arms with the rampant lion were primary. Further research is needed to confirm which arms belonged to the Guidotti dalla Romola, which the Ceramelli Papiani archive registers as without heraldry.
  • [b] had coat of arms, though CP says without
  • [c] according to Rosselli, these two families shared a tomb in the cloister of Santa Maria del Carmine
