In 1336, Florentine citizen referred to as Lotto di Paganuccio da Gangalandi entered into litigation with the monks of the Badia a Settimo regarding land used to build the port at Ponte a Signa known as the Porto Maggiore. It is likely that this is the same man responsible for installing a tomb in the north cemetery of Santa Croce. The copyist responsible for the Archivio di Stato di Firenze version of Stefano Rosselli's sepoltuario, likely Giovanni Battista Dei, linked Lotto's cemetery tomb with one found at the church of S. Maria delle Selve near Ponte a Signa. Whether they descended from the same Paganuccio as Gerino di Paganuccio da Montereggio, also memorialized in Santa Croce, is not clear.
