Notes

  • [a] Stefano Rosselli reports that this tomb was one of sixteen that was covered over by the construction of the Salviati chapel, which was founded between 1446 and 1447 ("Le soprascritte Armi e Sepolture da n. 1 a n. 16 sono da gran tempo in quĂ  guasto, e coperte dalla Cappella de Salviati fabbricata dopo, e da altre stanze.")
  • [b] Despite the certainty that Francesco would have inherited his father's tomb, he chose instead to be buried at Santa Maria alle Selve in Lastra a Signa.
  • [c] Caterina is named as her husband Francesco's heir on his tomb in S. Maria alle Selve, which carried the date August 2, 1383.
  • [d] Jacopa is named as her brother Francesco's heir on his tomb in S. Maria alle Selve, which carried the date August 2, 1383.
