[a] A Venturi family tree in the Carte Mariani Dei gives Francesca's death date and burial place as Santa Maria Novella. Presumably she was buried in her family's chapel tomb in the transept.
[b] Both her birth and married families had tombs in Santa Maria Novella. If her testament survives, it might clarify which tomb she used for her burial. Given that her husband was also buried int he church, she may well have used the Venturi family tomb to be laid to rest alongside her husband.
[c] Francesca Bardi Venturi was certainly buried in the church of Santa Maria Novella as indicated in a Venturi family tree in the Carte Mariani Dei. While she most likely was buried in her husband's family tomb, she may have opted to return to her birth family in their tomb in the transept chapel. If her testament survives, it would clarify her burial choice.
