[a] Simone was the last male in his family line. According to the Priorista Mariani, who gives the death date of March 30th, 1602, he was buried with the family coat of arms at his feet, presumably in the tomb his ancestor messer Coluccio set up in San Romolo. Novati provides a death date of March 3rd, 1603.
[b] The Priorista Mariani notes that Simone died on March 30, 1602 while Novati (p. 400) reports that it was instead on March 3, 1603.
[c] Simone was baptized from the parish of San Jacopo tra fossi on the day after his birth.
