  • [a] Gravediggers recorded Piero's death and burial in San Romolo, his home parish. There is little reason to doubt that he was buried anywhere other than his father's tomb, where his stepmother Piera had been buried in 1396.
  • [b] Burial records indicate that Piero was living in the parish of San Romolo at the time of his death and that he was buried in that church.
