Wood Brown, Paolo di Antonio di Messer Zanobi da Castagnolo purchased rights to the first transept chapel to the right of the high altar at Santa Maria Novella from Marco di Bernardo Bardi. Brown notes that he removed the Bardi family arms and tomb. He makes no mention of what he did with the chapel after that, but at some point prior to 1486 it had been sold again to the Boni family, a transaction not mentioned by Brown (1902, p. 128).
