[a] Paolo di Bernardo di Bardo Altoviti was elected to represent the Vipera district to the Sixteen on April 28th, 1437.
[b] Paolo's father Bernardo died in 1400 when he was an infant. While he legally inherited the tomb at that time, he only gained full access to his inheritance when he reached maturity around 1417.
[c] The Santa Croce sepoltuario of 1439 names Paolo di Bernardo as the tomb's then current owner.
[d] Given that Paolo was heir to the tomb established by his grandfather, it is likely that he was buried there. Gravedigger records would confirm his church of burial.
