Notes

  • [a] Giovanni di Bartolomeo Cederni stated his age was 28 in his 1427 catasto declaration.
  • [b] The Cederni family tree found in the Passerini archive does not show the lineage suggested here, but given that Giovanni lived in the parish of Santa Maria Novella, it stands to reason that his father was the Bartolomeo di Pietro who installed a tomb in the friary's cloister.
  • [c] Giovanni di Bartolomeo Cederni, found in the 1427 catasto, may be the son of Bartolomeo di Piero di Lapo Cederni, but additional confirmation is needed as he does not appear as such in the family tree found in the Passerini archive (ins. 187, no. 4).
  • [d] Giovanni Cederni owned several properties in this parish that he rented to various tenants. Oddly, he does not indicate where he and his family of five were living, but most likely in via di Cenni, today's via dei Panzani.
