Bottegari, Francesco di S. Jacopo di Bartolomeo di Guido

Description

According to the Priorista Mariani, Francesco di ser Jacopo Bottegari matriculated in the Arte del Cambio in 1465. However, he appears in election records as a locksmith (chiavaiolo). He was the only family member to hold the priorate in the fall of 1486, drawn from the election purse of S. Croce Carro, but his father was notary of the Signoria in 1469. He married Antonia di Cerbone del Tovaglia in 1472, who seems to be the Mona Antonia buried in the Bottegari family tomb at the Badia Fiorentina
