Translation

To God, the best, the greatest. Bonifazio son of Donato erected this altar appearing in the middle of the church in the year 407 beyond 1000 at his family's expense and endowed it out of his own profits. The Carucci and Fazi, of the very same lineage, with the wall of the choir, to which it was attached, having been torn down in 1570, moved it to here and they restored it from the decay of old age into brighter form in 1633.
