Translation

To the best and greatest God. Giovanni Battista Pandolfini son of Pandolfo built this chapel with the greatest piety for Saint Stephen, and also he wanted a monument in this place for the descendants of this same family, which Roberto, his grandson by reason of his son, left in his will to be adorned with a marble pavement in the year of our Lord 1592.
