  • [a] While Rosselli clearly transcribes this tomb's inscription with Ambrogio's name in the nominative case (Ambrosius), it is unclear whether the tomb had additional text making the tomb (sepulcrum) the object of his action (ponendum curavit) or that Rosselli or earlier sources erred in the transcription which should have rendered Ambrogio's name in the genitive case (Ambrosii).
